Intake case study

Intake is a brand discovery tool that helps designers turn client input into a clear, structured brief. It guides clients through their business goals, audience, brand personality, and visual preferences, giving both sides a shared starting point before design begins. Built to improve our own discovery process and support other designers and studios, the project spans brand identity, product design, and the marketing website. The aim is simple: better questions, more useful answers, and less time chasing missing information.

Clarity before design.
I created Intake to help designers and clients build a shared understanding of the business behind the brand. It’s a smart, agentic onboarding tool that guides discovery, helps clients express what matters, and brings their answers into a clear brief. The goal is to make onboarding smoother, more effective, and more convenient, so every project begins with clarity on both sides.

No design jargon
Questions about your business, not about typefaces. Your answers become a designer’s language.
Point, don’t describe
Pick the images that feel right. Far easier than describing ‘modern but warm’, and far more accurate.
You keep the brief
At the end you have a brand brief. Build from it yourself, or hand it to whoever does the work.
